27th Annual Greyfest

Greyfest is a wonderful event dedicated to celebrating, remembering and partying with the best hounds out there! We will be in the location we've used for several years in the past, Snail Lake Pavilion in Shoreview, which features large covered areas with picnic tables, and plenty of outside space to bring your own blanket.
From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. we will have food, beer, and will host a bevy of activities all dedicated to making this a greyt greyhound get-together.
Greyfest also helps GPA MN raise the funds necessary to continue our important work of finding forever homes for retired racers. So, grab your kids, both two-legged and four-legged, call your friends, bring a camera, and join us for a greyt summer day. Admission is free!
Greyfest goes on, rain or shine, 90 degrees or 40 degrees, so please remember umbrellas, sunscreen, jackets, sweatshirts, lawn chairs, or whatever you need for whatever our lovely Minnesota weather brings!
This is an event at which there will be 75-100 greyhounds. Large and medium breed dogs other than greyhounds are welcome, but please use caution if you plan to bring a small dog. Remember, not all greyhounds are small-dog friendly.
All dogs must be leashed.

2025 Activities
Speed Alley (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) *weather permitting*
Speed Alley is a fully-fenced, straight-line run for your hound. It is a safe place where your hound can go and show everyone how they earned the nickname of "45 mile per hour Couch Potatoes." Of course, the radar gun will be there to give you the exact MPH of your hound!
Cost for Speed Alley:
$10 per hound, per run (includes high-quality digital photo. Digital link availalbe ~1week after event)
Fastest 3 hounds down Speed Alley will receive a trophy!
Games:
Bobbing for hot dogs for the hounds - $5 per dog
Other activities
Pup cup station: $1 (whipcream only) or $2 (whipcream + toppings)
Nail trimming: $10 nail trim only or $15 nail trim with dremmel OR dremmel only

Plan to bring cash or a credit card. We will also have tap to pay available too.
ALL funds raised from this event go directly to the greyhounds. Food, beverage, merch table, nail trims, pup cup station, speed alley.
Vendor tables are the exception to this.
Volunteers
If you've been to greyfest before, you know that this event cannot run itself. We need a number of volunteers to help us by taking shifts to help with various activities throughout the day.
