Hi! I’m Arthur!
I’m a young and energetic boy! I love toys and making them squeak! And, I won’t deny myself a good chew on a pillow, blankie, or loose bit of paper either! I’m just so curious about everything and tend to investigate with my mouth. I might even jump and nibble on a hand here and there because I get so excited when I meet a new person too. If I’m being too rambunctious in the house I’m more than happy to get outside for a walk. My foster mom says I’m a good walker. I love to meet new dogs, especially if they’re young and playful, like me! While I’ve been in foster care I’ve gotten much better about my separation anxiety, but I still get really sad when my humans leave me and I will vocalize my displeasure and sadness. Ideally I just want to spend all the time with you and watch you go about your daily business and then snuggle on the couch and eat cottage cheese with you in the evening.
If you’re looking for a playful and sweet boy I’d love to meet you! - xo, Arthur

Hi! I'm Charli! I've got lots of energy and love to play! After a good play session I'd love to cuddle up and take a nice long nap though. I'm very loving and my foster family says I'm a real sweetheart! I do have to admit that I had a high prey drive though so those cute little fuzzy animals, even small dogs, really get my lizard brain going and I want to hunt! I'm looking for a home where I'm the most energetic body in the house, I've found kids to be too unpredictable and they scare me. If you had other big dogs that would be cool, but if I were the only hound there to soak up your attention I wouldn't mind that either. If you're looking for a spunky gal with lots of character I'd love to meet you! - xo, Charli

Hi there, I'm Dean! I'm a goofy, laid back kind of guy that loves toys, treats, my crate and other dogs. I have an easy, steady demeanor, am very submissive, and low prey drive. In new situations I may get a little nervous, but this is improving. I'd prefer to live in a quiet home and not in a noisy neighborhood or apartment setting.
I'm currently living with the resident cat and other greyhounds. I'd do best in a home with another greyhound that I can bound with. My favorite place to hang out is inside my kennel, and it's where I like to hoard all my toys too!

Hi! I'm John! Let me tell you, first and foremost,
I absolutely LOVE being LOVED. I just want to be your special guy! A little bit about me:
I’m kind of an early riser and like getting in two walks a day along with hang time in the yard to check on the neighbors and maybe lay out in the sun. Ever since I got my harness I’ve been so great on walks and I’m just starting to not care about squirrels as much.
I really do love having my people around - so if you work from home or don’t have to be gone too long each day that would be great for me. I am a bit of a “shadow”
and love to follow you around - so I know all the happenings and don’t miss out on any fun. I think I’d do well in a bit of a busier household and maybe being around another dog (not a small one, though) could be nice. When you do have to be gone I am really good at being gated in the kitchen and just sleeping until you get home. I really don’t care for my crate - stresses me out, but don't worry
I'
m a very trustworthy boy who also knows to do my “business” outside.
I should probably mention that I don’t sleep hours and hours…like most greyhounds. I like and need a little more action than that.
So, if you are looking for a total love bug who will always greet you with a wagging tail and smile then I'd love to meet you! xo, John

Hi, I'm Kristin!
I'm really enjoying the retired life so far! I've discovered the joy of naps, toys, leisurely walks, counter surfing, snuggles and ear scritches! I'm still figuring some other things out, like just exactly how do doors work?! I find them just a little perplexing and have been fooled more than once, especially the clear ones! Aside from my suspicions of what doors are actually up to I'm real chill and get along with everyone: adults, kids, dogs of all sizes; I'm still deciding how excited I feel about cats though. So intriguing and mysterious they are. If you're looking for an easy going snuggle partner, who maybe you want to spoil with a little chicken from your plate, then I'd love to meet you! xo, Kristin

Howdy, Howdy, Howdy! I'm Mutley!
I'm a playful gal who loves a good romp in the yard or a nice walk or some quality petting and snuggling. Really I just love life! Since I've retired I've found everything to be pretty great. I get along with everybody: kids, adults, big dogs, little dogs, but squirrels should beware! haha I don't mean to toot my horn too much but I know I'd make a fabulous addition to your family! All I ask is for some cool people to hang out with who will throw a toy around from me (or just watch me play with the toy on my own) who want to take me on nice calm walks to watch the leaves change. xo. Hi, I'm Pancake! I wonder if you can guess what my favorite food is? I'll give you a hint: it's a breakfast food. Some of my other favorite things include receiving soft rubs behind my ears, sleeping on my bed most of the day, and resting my head on your lap. I have a very sweet disposition and am a gentle soul. I'm very polite (even to the household cat!), but if you let me on the couch I'm going to tell everyone it's mine and not share it. I like toys, but I really love a nice walk and am very well mannered on the leash. I can be a solo guy or live with another dog.
If you'd like to cook me breakfast every once in a while I'd love to meet you! xo, Pancake

Hi, I’m Shiloh. I’m a real shy guy, but am very sweet and gentle. It takes me a little while to warm up to a new person, but once I do get ready for lots of kisses. I like it best when my house is calm and quiet and would love it if there was another dog there to keep me company when you’re busy. Most of the time I’m very quiet, but will get a little upset if you put me in a crate and leave me. I do really well left out, I just don’t like being confined. While you’re away I’ll just gather up all your shoes for you and put them in the bedroom for easy access. Don’t worry I’m very gentle; I just want to move them closer and keep them safe, along with some of my favorite toys. Also, if you have any dirty laundry that you want kept warm I’m an expert laundry warmer! And now that we’re talking about things I like I have to mention that treats are pretty great and toys, fluffy ones please! I like playing with my foster greyhound brother too! I get excited for walks and may pull you a little, but I won’t be chasing after squirrels or bunnies. If you have a quiet household and patience for me to get comfortable in my new surroundings I’d love to be the sweetest addition to your family. xo, Shiloh

Update 11/24/23 on Thor after a couple months in foster:
I love toys that make noise, soft toys, and riding in the car and going to stores that give out treats. Soft beds and fuzzy warm blankets. Does well with roaming the house freely; does not like being in a kennel. Food motivated and needs another hound in the house to help show him how to be a dog. Currently lives with a cat
Sept 2023 - Hi. I’m Thor. I’m not quite the god of thunder that I’m named after, in fact I’m a sweet and submissive boy. I’m looking for a home that is pretty quiet with a routine that is consistent and predictable so I can feel comfortable. I’ve got some worries I’m working through. Don’t we all? So, I’ll need my people to be patient with me. I don’t like to admit it but I get scared of new people and it takes me time to warm up. My mom taught me about “stranger danger” and I really took it to heart. Speaking of my heart… the fastest way to it and best way to build trust with me is to take me out walking, preferably a place where there aren’t a lot of other people. I like other dogs and if you had another dog it would really help me to gain confidence in this new world around me. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive, submissive boy I could be that boy. Respectfully, Thor

11/27/23: Here's an update on TJ Watt. How is this guy still in foster??
◦
He loves squeaker toys and kongs
◦
He enjoys his nightly toothbrush so much he wants to get in on the other dogs brushing too
◦
He needs another dog home or he’ll get sad and pace and howl
◦
He may be vocal only if there’s someone out the window or if he’s confined to an area and a new person comes over and he wants to meet them
◦
He usually doesn’t jump up when excited
◦
He will paw at doors if he wants out or whine
◦
We do one walk a day (about a mile) and yard time. He’s leery of new things or people on walks but has greatly improved (still wouldn’t call him a city boy - definitely a suburban guy)
◦
He’s small dog and cat friendly with appropriate introductions
◦
He has been friendly to all visiting dogs and often wants to run and play with them
◦
He has let me move/slide him around a bit in bed if I want him over to the side more. He’s a weasel though and wants to wiggle back by you
◦
Very occasionally he has tried to chew on something he shouldn’t and was easily redirected and quit
◦
He loves grooming himself
◦
He is a little nervous on walks and should wear a harness. He needs some reassurance and encouragement in new places. He likes quieter areas. He’ll probably stop walking if there’s a big scary loud car coming by, people/bikers etc.
◦
He does well in the car
◦
He strongly prefers to sleep on the bed with his people. I would hope you can train this out of him if you don’t want him snuggling. He sometimes will take the living room though if the bedroom door is left open
◦
He really loves being by his people a lot and roaches and likes belly rubs
◦
He loves his food! Beware of counter surfing behaviors.
◦
He takes treats gently
◦
H
e’s on a prescription hydrolyzed diet for food allergies
◦
He’s negative for worms!
◦
Doesn’t need to be kenneled when you leave. He will sleep or play with toys
July 2023:
Hi, I’m TJ Watt,
I’m just a country/suburban kind of boy, stuck in the city, hoping to find a home where you hear more crickets than cars. My love for a quiet and slower way of livin’ is pretty strong. All this fuss with the beep beep and the vroom vroom and the hustle with the bustle, no thanks. All those noises give me such a start that they will stop me dead in my tracks! I don’t need all that stuff. I’m just a simple and goofy boy who wants some belly rubs and snuggles (and also a yard and another dog buddy). Additionally, I’d love a home where I can be left out in the house while you’re gone; I’m not a fan of being in the crate, but promise to be well behaved while you’re away.
If you're looking for a country/suburban boy I'd love to meet you! - xo, TJ Watt
