Hi, I’m Bonnie Parker! Don’t let the fact that I’m named for a notorious criminal fool you, I’m really a nice, gentle girl! I love squeaky toys, walks, being outside, being with people, and ear scratches. In fact I love ear scratches so much that I will do a little moany purr when you hit that perfect spot! I am very friendly and happily accept love and pets from everyone I meet, especially if they know the magic ear scratch trick! I am currently living with another greyhound and a cat, and I like both of them just fine. I am curious about the neighbor dog, but we have not been formally introduced; I have also not really interacted with any dogs smaller than myself. I do have VERY STRONG OPINIONS about thunder: it is bad and I will bark at it! This is not always appreciated (rude) but I will stop after being reassured that everything is ok. Along those lines, it has been suggested that I might need some basic obedience training (rude, again), but I think I am perfect as I am. Do you think I would be a great addition to your home?

Hi, I’m Decota! I love walks, cuddles, and naps; I am unsure about children, overnights in my kennel, and why I am not allowed to chew on stuff. Walks are so much fun! I’m an active outdoors kinda girl, but I honestly really only care about walking and sniffing, and not who or what may be out in nature alongside me. On that note, I am shy when I meet new people, and do not generally warm up to kids, so I would do best in a home without children. Sometimes if I get bored between naps I will start to explore things (like tables and chairs) with my mouth, but lots of walks and appropriate things to chew on solve that problem! (Have I mentioned I really love going on walks?) I will accept being kenneled during the day if you must leave me, but I do not want to be in the kennel overnight. I also sometimes like to do a little bit of sneaky counter surfing, if given a chance. My foster person says these behaviors can be addressed with walks (yay!) and training (...eh). Do you think I would be a great addition to your home?

Hi, I’m Halo! I love toys, walks, pets, and treats. And counter surfing. And barking! I'll protect you! I DO NOT LIKE CATS, and I have complicated feelings about other dogs–sometimes I like them, sometimes I bark at them, and sometimes I am kind of intense and growly at them. I contain multitudes, what can I say? I do love going on walks, and would love to walk for hours and hours every day, but I have been told that is “not realistic” and that I need to practice “good walking behavior and etiquette,” which frankly sounds pretty boring (what’s the point if you can’t drag people everywhere and bark at everything you see???) but I suppose I can try to work on that if you help me. I love attention, and I'm not at all shy about poking you if you stop petting me too soon. I'm super bendy and can provide hours of entertainment with the positions I sleep in and what I use for my pillow. Being entirely alone isn't my favorite thing, but my complaining doesn't generally last all that long. Do you think I would be a great addition to your home?

Hi, I’m Pancake! I’m a very sweet boy who will do best in a home with experienced greyhound people who know how to make sure my needs are met
. I consider my home my sanctuary, and get nervous and unhappy when strangers visit unexpectedly--but I like meeting new people out on walks! I have a very soft coat and like getting pets, but only when I initiate them. Boundaries are important and should always be respected! Speaking of boundaries, I don’t always like when other dogs get too close to me either, so I might not do best in a multi-dog household. Sorry everyone, this Pancake doesn’t want to be part of a stack. And speaking of food…I LOVE FOOD A LOT. Like, a lot a lot. I love food so much you will probably have to keep it locked away from me so that I don’t eat it all up and then raid the trash to see what else there is for me to eat. Food is awesome, what can I say? So tempting! So delicious! So forbidden! Yum. Do you think I would be a great addition to your home?

Hi I’m Penn! I am an active boy who loves to play with toys and explore the world around me! Even though I have a foot injury I am still recovering from, I don't let it slow me down–I love to go on walks and sniff my way through the neighborhood, noticing every squirrel and bird that crosses my path. I like to meet new people, but I’m unsure about dogs that aren’t greyhounds. Do they even count as dogs if they aren’t greyhounds? I enjoy a good neck scritch, and will give you a big hug in return to show how much I love it. If my people are home, I prefer us to be in the same space, and I don't like to go in the kennel if I know my people are about to leave. I will let you sleep in in the morning as long as I have toys to occupy myself with, but I would prefer we all got up and got the day started already! The vacuum cleaner is the only thing that has scared me even a little bit so far. Do you think I would be a great addition to your home?

Hi, I’m Yawkey! I love to follow my people around, play with other dogs, and do zoomies outside! I really like to follow my people around and keep tabs on what they are doing at all times. I do not like it when they are doing things and I cannot snoopervise them, especially if I am in my kennel. That’s just rude. I like meeting people–including kids– and am generally a friendly gal. Right now my foster home has a couple other dogs, and I really like being part of a pack! It’s fun to have a bunch of dogs to live with and play with every day! I also live with a couple cats, and I am scared of one of them but get along ok with the other one. (The scary cat doesn’t like dogs.) I am affectionate and friendly, and would do well in a home with other dogs, or with a family that already has kids who know how to behave with dogs. Do you think I would be a great addition to your home?
