GASSY Walks Greyhound Ambassadors Strolling Sundays Yarely* The Original Lake Harriet Gassy Walk Lake Harriet At 2:00 p.m. each Sunday (year-round, weather permitting**) join members of GPA Minnesota for a stroll around Lake Harriet with the greyhounds. The walk is approximately 2.75 miles round trip. The group meets near the Lake Harriet Rose Garden which is located on the Northeast shore of Lake Harriet, immediately adjacent to Roseway Road. (Map) Directions: The Lyndale Park Gardens and Rose Garden are located along Roseway Road between East Lake Harriet Parkway and King's Highway (Dupont Avenue South). Roseway Road is the equivalent of West 4lst Street in this area. **What does “Weather Permitting” mean? If you’re willing to take a 2.75 mile walk outside, and the weather is good enough for you and your hound(s) to do so comfortably, there will probably be other hounds and humans there to meet you! Gassy Too at Como Park Como Lakeside Pavilion At 2:00 p.m. each Sunday, you can also join greyhound families for a walk around Como Lake in St. Paul!! The walk takes about 45 minutes and is approximately 1.7 miles long. For more information please contact Neil & Sylvia Kressal at meetandgreet@gpa-mn.org. *Yarely is an old English word, meaning quickly or with haste – appropriately reflective of the greyhound style, of course!
