We are the Minnesota chapter of Greyhound Pets of America. Greyhound Pets of America is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation founded in 1987 for the purpose of finding homes for ex-racing greyhounds and educating the public on the suitability and availability of greyhounds as pets.

All of our greyhounds go into foster homes where we can allow them to acclimate to their new lives as retired racers. We also get a better idea of their personalities so we can make the best match we can with their new family.

We have found great success in matching the personalities of the greyhounds with the personalities of the new families. Many of our greyhounds go on to live in families with other pets especially cats. We do test all our greyhounds to see if they can live with cats and most can but the few that cannot we do not allow to be adopted by families with cats.

Greyhound Pets of America - Minnesota is committed to making sure all our greyhounds have a happy, safe and long life while in our care as well as once in their forever homes.
